Carl Keever, and outstanding linebacker on the Broncos football team from 1982 to 1984, received three first-team All-American awards. Twice he was selected first team All-American by the Associated Press and once by Kodak. He also received three straight first-team All-Big Sky Conference honors and was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year in 1982. Keever currently ranks second on the all-tome tackle list for the Broncos with 397. His top season came as a sophomore in 1982 when he made 136 tackles. Keever is also the only player in Boise history to make over 130 tackles in three different seasons.
