Paying For School
The way you pay for school can take many paths. Thinking outside the box will open up options you may not have known about or considered.
Financial Aid
The financial aid office is a great starting point when you need to figure out how to pay for school. They’ll work with you on any of the four types of aid available to you: loans, grants, scholarships and work study.
Scholarships
Take the time to apply for as many scholarships as you can. They are gifts. And they are a great way to pay for your education. They don’t need to be repaid. There are hundreds available through the state of Idaho, the university, your college, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations.
Student Employment
Boise State has a student employment program to help you earn a paycheck and get work experience without leaving campus. And the bonus is that supervisors understand your priorities and are committed to your success as a student. This is a great option to help you pay for school.
Veteran Services
If you’re a Veteran, you may qualify for one – OR more than one – chapter of the GI Bill. Veteran Services can help you understand all of the benefits you are eligible for and get you started on the right path to using the GI Bill to pay for your education.
