Course Requirements

A. General University Requirements (see Boise State University Undergraduate Catalog), including:
B. Students are required to complete nine credits of law-related courses.
C. Specific requirements in the major field of study.

The student is required to take at least twenty-four (24) semester credit hours of course work in special areas of law. This includes six (6) hours of required courses:

D. Law-Specialty Courses.

The three hours of Internship, PARALGL 493, and fifteen (15) credit hours of course work are selected from the alternative law-specialty courses. These courses provide substantive knowledge of the law as well as emphasizing practical skills, tasks, and responsibilities of the paralegal. All law-specialty courses are taught by practicing lawyers who serve as adjunct faculty members. In certain law-specialty courses, qualified paralegals may assist the lawyers in a team-teaching arrangement; the paralegal will focus on the responsibilities of the paralegal.
