Paralegal Studies

The BSU Paralegal Studies Program was established in 1991 to meet the needs of one of the largest growing professional occupations in the nation. Our graduates have been placed in:
- private law firms
- legal divisions of large corporations
- legal departments of banks
- government organizations, such as the Attorney General's Office
Graduates have found positions as paralegals or are applying their legal education background in their respective occupations. Some have continued their legal education by entering law school to become attorneys. Graduates are not authorized to provide direct legal services to the public. The Paralegal Studies Program provides training for paralegals who are authorized to perform substantive legal work under the supervision of a lawyer.
