Respiratory Care New Student Orientation – Step 4

Logging In

myBoiseState is your portal for maintaining your student account, accessing online classes through the learning management system, reviewing important deadlines, and connecting with technical support.

To access your myBoiseState account, visit my.boisestate.edu, then enter your username and password.

Landing Page

When you first log in to myBoiseState, you’ll see a landing page with information about system downtime/maintenance, important University announcements, and campus news headlines.

You can also search for courses (click Course Search on the right side of the page) without having to go into the Student Center.

From here you can access your student information and additional features by clicking on the Student View button.

The Student View button can be found under the welcome text at the upper-left.

Student View

The systems and resources most students access on a daily basis are found on the right-side of the screen under “Services” in the Student View.

You can also search for services and resources not listed here by entering terms into the search field above the “Services” section. Create your own customized menu of resources by using the new My Resources feature, accessible by clicking on your name at upper-right.

My Schedule

My Schedule will display your enrolled classes at a glance, in a list view, or a weekly calendar view.

Also, you’ll see an icon that can be used to directly access the Canvas site for each course.

My Academics

Your Major and/or Minor degree programs appear under My Academics. You can even hover over a program to access the Change Major application.

Below this section your advisor(s) will be displayed, along with their contact information.

Links to other new academic resources are available, including a view of your grade history by semester, and a GPA calculator that allows you to discover how future grades will impact your overall GPA.

My Account

To-Do List and Hold items will appear under My Account (if you have any), along with past, current, and future account balances.
