Public Health Certificates

The Bachelor of Arts in Public Health at Boise State offers a unique and integrated experience, incorporating four certificates into the curriculum: community-driven health solutions, health and human behavior, evidence-based public health and foundations of public health. These certificates are woven seamlessly into the program, enhancing your expertise and marketability as you pursue your bachelor’s degree without needing to take additional classes.

Students can also earn these four certificates, as well as the Certificate in Public Health, separately without needing to enroll in a bachelor’s program.

Community-Driven Health Solutions

Learn skills in community assessment, health communication theories and collaborative strategies for social change, empowering you to make a meaningful impact in improving community health.

Foundations of Public Health Practice

Gain insights into protecting human health, navigating policy and legal challenges, designing interventions and addressing evolving health threats.

Health and Human Behavior

Explore general concepts related to the human body, determinants of health and evidence-based health interventions, preparing you to analyze health threats with real-time strategies.

Public Health

Tackle community health challenges by gaining skills to foster healthier communities, address disparities and enhance global health. This certificate is only offered independently and is not built into the Bachelor of Arts in Public Health curriculum.

Evidence-Based Public Health

Learn how to apply evidence-based decision-making and effective public health action with an emphasis on coalition development and community-based prevention.
