Geothermal Heating

Mayor David Bieter and Boise State University President Bob Kustra have announced the completed funding of phase one for a project to extend the City’s current geothermal system to Boise State University. The project – which is expected to create or preserve more than 20 jobs over a six- to eight-month period – is part of the FY 2009 Omnibus Appropriations bill signed by President Obama on March 11. geothermal.mp3.

Boise State University has selected “Run,” a novel by Ann Patchett, as the 2009-10 First Year Read program book. Tuition Proposal

Boise State University has submitted a recommendation for a 5.01 percent increase in student tuition and fees to the State Board of Education – the lowest proposed increase in 14 years.
