What's News at the Foundation http://foundation.boisestate.edu/

Campaign Gift Highlights:

  • Alumnus Terry McEntee has created two scholarships for the College of Engineering: the Central Paving Company and Terry McEntee Family Construction Management Scholarship, and the Central Paving Company and Terry McEntee Family Civil Engineering Scholarship. These scholarships will help recruit and retain even more outstanding engineering students.
  • Thanks to the Angora Ridge Foundation for their gift and challenge grant to the Idaho Innocence Project, a program that helps exonerate wrongly incarcerated prisoners. The Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Peter and Margie Reedy, Jim and Lynn Johnston, and the Idaho Law Foundation all joined to help meet the match requirements.
  • The College of Extended Studies benefited from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute's multi-year commitment to expand the Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning at Boise State, formerly known as the Renaissance Institute. The grant will enable Boise State to expand the program and reach out to new and potential members. Thanks to the Treasure Valley community’s support and involvement with the program, we are meeting the grant requirements.
  • Thanks to Harvey and Margo Neef for their increased support of the scholarship they created in memory of their son. The Dr. Raymond L. Neef Memorial Endowed Scholarship provides support to scholar wrestling athletes.
  • Nursing students are again benefiting from the generosity of Florence M. Miles, who served as the first director of nursing at Boise Junior College. Through a bequest, she created the Florence M. Miles Nursing Faculty Endowment to improve the educational experience of nursing students through well-equipped faculty.
