Getting Started
GroupWise Accounts
Boise State University uses Novell GroupWise email for employee messaging and calendaring services. GroupWise accounts must be requested for new employees via the OIT Account Request Form.
Once your GroupWise account has been created, your email address will be your BroncoWeb username @boisestate.edu (e.g., janesmith@boisestate.edu). You will also use your BroncoWeb username and password to log in to your GroupWise account.
Your GroupWise Password
Your GroupWise password is the same as your BroncoWeb password. This password expires every 90 days. OIT uses an automated e-mail notification process at several intervals prior to your password expiration date to alert you to reset your password.
To reset your password, browse to the BroncoWeb home page.
- If you know your password, log into BroncoWeb and reset it by clicking on the Change your Password link.
- If you don't know your password, click the Set My New Password / I Forgot My Password link.
The University requires all computer system passwords to be a minimum of 8 characters in length, expire no more than every 90 days, and contain at least 1 numeric character and 1 special character (a special character is defined as any character not alphabetic or numeric, including a space). Additionally, you cannot use any password you've previously used within the last 365 days.
