Weekend Classes and Programs

Scheduling Issues?

We know that busy weekday schedules can make it hard to find time to advance your career or learn something new. Weekend classes are designed to give you greater flexibility with your busy schedule. Have time for your job, family, recreation AND school.

Several weekend classes and programs are available.

 

Lower & Upper Division Core Classes on Weekends

A variety of core courses is offered each semester and may be offered on:
• Friday evenings (5:30 pm to 8:30 pm)
• Saturday mornings (8:00 am-11:00 am) and Saturday afternoons (11:30 am-2:30 pm)
• Sunday afternoons (1:00 pm-4:00 pm)

Weekend Master's Degree Programs

Master of Arts in Education, Literacy

This program for educators is offered on the weekend in a condensed format, Friday evening and Saturday, for the convenience of working professionals. Each 3-credit class meets three times during the semester in Boise or at the College of Western Idaho in Nampa. The program is designed to be completed in two years, including summer.

Master of Education, Bilingual Education or English as a Second Language

This program is designed for teachers who work with or are preparing to work with English language learners. Classes meet at CSI in Twin Falls or at the College of Western Idaho in Nampa, in a condensed format, Friday evening and all day Saturday. Each 3-credit class meets for three weekends. The program is designed to be completed in two years, including summer.

Northern Idaho Advanced Standing Masters of Social Work (MSW) Program

This accredited 12-month program graduated its first two cohorts of students in Lewiston and Coeur d’Alene in spring 2007. Classes meet evenings and weekends to fit the needs of working professionals. The program will continue subject to a sufficient number of qualified students.
