
8/5: Will Boise State credits transfer to my institution? Yes, because Boise State is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. It is always best to check with your home institution to confirm credits earned at Boise State are accepted.
8/4: I need a permission number. In most cases, permission numbers to enroll in a class are given out by the instructor if prerequisite is met and there is room in the class. You can find instructor contact information by using the A to Z Index and navigating to the department's staff and faculty web pages.
7/30: Are Boise State classes on terms or semesters? Boise State has fall, spring, and summer semesters (see academic calendars). Classes may last the entire semester or shorter time frames, which can be seen on class details in BroncoWeb.
7/27: Can I earn re-certification credits with your Professional Education classes? To ensure that these classes will meet your certification goal, it is best to confirm with your local human resources office before enrolling. Go to CBMM for class descriptions and Idaho's Teacher Certification for program information.
7/27: Where do I take an assessment test? Assessment tests can be scheduled at Testing Services for $5.
7/21: I want to take a class, but I can't figure out how to navigate Boise State's website. What are my first steps? The Process Flow Chart takes you step by step through the process. First become admitted, apply for financial aid, seek an advisor, review the graduation requirements via the catalog and by using aids such as the major check-sheets. 7/11: How can I become certified as a teacher? Visit the State of Idaho Dept. of Education website "Teacher Certification."
7/8: What are core classes? Read the Registrar's page on Core Classes. For the most complete answer, read Chapter 10 of the Undergraduate Catalog.
7/8: How many credits can I transfer. . .do military credits transfer? Lots of transfer information at the Registrar's site; also, once admitted, transcripts are evaluated to determine credit transfer. There is a limit to the number of transfer credits allowed. Yes, it is possible to receive credit for military training.
7/2: Where can I find the class schedule? Go to the published Schedule of Classes at the Registrar's website OR you can browse the online Schedule of Classes using Self-Service/Schedule of Classes.
7/2: What do classes cost? This fall, undergraduate credits are $252 per credit, plus any special fees for the class. Both the Undergraduate Catalog (Chapter 6) and Schedule of Classes (pdf doc, go to page 8) present fee and installment payment plan (I-Pay) information.
